Terms of Service

Welcome to Zero Kit. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Survival AI LLC ("Survival AI," "we," "us," or "our"), the company that designs and sells the Zero Kit device and operates the website at thezerokit.com (the "Site"). By accessing the Site, placing an order, or using a Zero Kit device, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
1. The product
Zero Kit is a pre-configured smartphone loaded with on-device artificial intelligence software, offline maps, a private browser, and reference materials, designed to operate without an internet connection. Product descriptions, images, and specifications on the Site are provided for general information and may be updated or refined before shipment.
2. Pre-orders, pricing, and payment
The Zero Kit is currently sold on a pre-order basis. Placing a pre-order reserves a unit from a planned production run and authorizes payment of the listed purchase price (currently $449 USD), plus any applicable taxes and shipping, through our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may change for future orders. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's applicable terms and privacy policies. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
3. Shipping estimates and cancellations
Estimated ship windows (such as "Q4 2026") are good-faith projections, not guarantees, and may change due to manufacturing, supply, or logistics factors. You may cancel an unshipped pre-order for a full refund as described in our Refund & Returns Policy. Shipping details are described in our Shipping Policy. Each policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
4. Important safety notice — no reliance for emergencies
The Zero Kit's AI assistant, offline maps, and reference materials are tools that may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. They are provided for general informational purposes only and are not professional medical, legal, navigational, financial, or safety advice. You must not rely on the device as your sole resource in any emergency or safety-critical situation. Where available, always contact qualified professionals and emergency services. You assume all risk arising from decisions made using information from the device.
5. Third-party and open-source software
The device includes third-party and open-source applications and AI models that are owned by their respective creators and licensed under their own terms. Your use of those components is subject to those licenses. Survival AI does not claim ownership of third-party software and makes no warranty regarding it beyond what those licenses provide.
6. Limited warranty
We warrant the Zero Kit hardware against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for one (1) year from the date of delivery. This warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accident, unauthorized modification, or normal wear. Our sole obligation under this warranty is, at our option, to repair or replace the affected unit or refund the purchase price.
7. Intellectual property
The Zero Kit name, logo, Site content, and original materials are the property of Survival AI LLC and may not be reproduced, modified, or distributed without our prior written consent, except as permitted by law.
8. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Site and the device only for lawful purposes and not to attempt to disrupt, hack, scrape, or misuse the Site or interfere with others' use of it. We may restrict access or remove content at any time.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Site, the device, and all content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind except the limited warranty in Section 6 and any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Survival AI LLC and its members, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or device. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the product.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Survival AI LLC from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Site or device or your violation of these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" above shows when they were last revised. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
